Flossing properly is important.

We all think Flossing is a no brainer and anyone can do it just by picking up floss and sticking in your teeth.  Not so according to recent research.  Alot of people never or rarely floss and this can lead to rapid tooth decay and gum disease.

Flossing removes plaque and food particles form between the teeth and under the gumline, areas where your toothbrush can't reach.

We have put together aFlossing Chart to help you understand the proper way to floss.  Please forward this article to someone you know who might want to know how easy it is to floss properly.

1. Break off about 18 inches of floss, and wind most of it around one of your middle fingers.
2. WInd the remaining floss around the same finger of the opposite hand.  This finger will "Take up" the floss as it becomes soiled.
3. Use your thumbs and forefingers with an inch of floss between them to guide the floss between your teeth.
4. Holding the floss tightly, use a gentle sawingt motion to insert the floss between your teeth.  Never "snap" the floss into your gums!.
5. When the floss reaches the gumline, curve it into a C-shape against one tooth.  Gently slide the floss into the space between the gum and the tooth until you feel resistance.
6. While holding the floss tightly against the tooth, moce the floss away from the gum by scraping the floss up and down against the side of the tooth.
7. Repeat this method on the adjacent tooth.
8. Take up the soiled floss on one hand, and release an inch of clean floss from the other.  Repeat this method on the rest of your teeth.

Lobby Mural for Las Cruces Location

Las Cruces Kids Kare goes all out with an indoor Mural landscape in the lobby!  This Mural will not only keep the eye entertained while waiting, it also serves to help adults and kids feel more comfortable in a fun environment.  The light blue really helps to bring the room to life and has a calming effect when you are there with it.  The Market Store again was able to help turn a good idea into reality when they brought in a great local artist, Ray Acosta to paint the lobby.  Ray has done several Murals for companies all over Las Cruces area and is very good at what he does.  Our lobby looks absolutely Great! Here are just a couple pictures with more to come.
